Trains and passes in and out of the BO

Hello seasoned travelers. My husband and I are flying to Zurich from US this Tuesday!! First time in country. So thrilled!!
We have each purchased the Half Fare Card and BO pass. We’re taking a train from Zurich via Luzern and stopping in Interlaken for lunch and a tiny bit of a walk around. The on to Wengen for 6 nights. We then leave for Chur to spend the night (for convenience) and then take the Bernina Express to Tirano. And then we’ll do some of Italy for another 2 weeks…
My question is how do we handle tickets both into and out of the BO, where our pass will suffice, but won’t be eligible for the all of the Zurich to Interlaken part, right?? And then from Wengen to Chur. I have been trying to wrap my head around it. Don’t want to be running in circles for info at the stations.
Thanks for any advice.

From Zurich airport, you just need to buy tickets to Luzern, where the trains on to Wengen are covered. Assuming you go to Chur via Luzern, again, just buy tickets from Luzern to Chur. Assume you have an 8-day BO Pass.

Sam, thanks so much. Bear with me a bit please..I use our HFC at the airport to purchase a point to point ticket to go to Luzern, correct? Then we can board a train going to Interlaken (for lunch) with our BOP and then use the pass again for train to Wengen? Why am I making this so difficult? Lol
We purchased a 6 day BOP, since we’ll be on the ground only 5 full days. I can see when using that 6th day makes more sense for the first or final travel days to change cities (said the woman whose head is spinning.)
So thankful this is a judge-free forum ;)

You say you are staying in Wengen for 6 nights. So assuming your BO Pass starts on your arrival day, it will be expired on your departure day, so you will have to buy a ticket from Wengen to Chur with the Half Fare Card.

Correct.

Using the SBB app for your holiday will help you out a lot, even though you will not need to buy very many tickets, you can still research any travel that you want to do, save journeys, be notified regarding any train delays or platform changes, etc. - and of course you can also easily purchase tickets with it so that you will not have to wait in line at the train station.

We will probably just miss you in Wengen! Will be there starting on 9/15! I’m still trying to figure out which pass to buy, the BO, or the half fare card (or maybe both?) So much to process!

At least get the HFC. Get the BO pass only when you know what the weather will be. My parents were here last week, and unfortunately the weather was not very good. They bought the pass anyway, and spend a lot of time on boats and trains in the plains...

We leave tomorrow and I want to buy the Swiss half fare and 10 day BOpass. Not sure where to buy from. I want both a paper ticket and mobile one. How to best do this? I don't see on the SBB app where I can buy either one
Help!
