Train travel: Basel to Interlaken then Interlaken to Lyon

Hello -
We disembark from a river cruise in Basel. We plan to travel by train from Basel to Lucerne, then take the scenic train journey past several lakes to Interlaken, called the "Luzern-Interlaken" express, I believe. We then plan to stay in Interlaken for two nights and continue from there to Lyon. Here are my questions:
1.) Can the scenic route from Lucerne to Interlaken (NOT the one through Bern) be booked using a trip on a RailEurope pass?
2.) Is the most scenic route from Interlaken to Lyon through Montreaux? If so, can that be booked using a trip on a RailEurope pass?
Thanks in advance?

The train from Luzern to Interlaken is a normal service train. You do not need to book anything in advance. All you need is a valid ticket, and an Eurail pass is a valid (albeit expensive) ticket.
The train from Interlaken to Montreux is again, just a normal train. Same things apply as for the Luzern - Interlaken train.

Thank you for a quick response! What is the cheaper means of booking rather than using a leg on a RailEurope pass? Thanks!
