Which train passes do you recommend that will allow us to travel in both countries and allow us to site seeing? We love to hike and go off from the usual tourist traps. Any tips? Thank you
What do you consider to be the “usual tourist traps” in Switzerland? In other words, what places do you hope to avoid?
For Italy, are you aware that many people view Cinque Terre itself as a “tourist trap”? The villages are very crowded, and so are the coastal hiking trails.
From Basel to Florence S.M.N. station take the train that has two connections. There is one every hour departing at 9:33a, 10:33a, etc.: https://www.sbb.ch/en.
Where are you staying in the Cinque Terre and on Lake Como?
