Train tickets Zermatt to Lyon Part-Dieu

I am confused regarding the SBB website for travel on May 28. I will be traveling from Zermatt to the Lyon Part-Dieu train station. My confusion is which is the most practical ticket to purchase on the SBB website. The options that I am considering are: 1) purchasing a Saver Day Pass to qualify for the GA discounted ticket 2) Regular ticket without any discount 3) finally the Saver Day ticket. I am concerned that a connection might be missed due to the current disrupted routing from Zermatt to Visp which is now requires taking the Zermatt-shuttle train to Täsch then boarding a bus to Visp. Which type of ticket will remain valid for the remainder of the ticket including the French portion of the ticket? Which would be the suggestion option? Am I correct in understanding the difference is very small perhaps under 15 chf?

I am not seeing any disruption on May 28 at www.sbb.ch/en for Zermatt to Lyon Part Dieu. Zermatt to Visp, then to Geneva, then to Lyon Part Dieu.

I wonder what you mean with "GA discounted ticket". Do you/will you have any passes for Switzerland? There is also not such thing as a Saver Day Ticket. There are supersaver tickets, and the Saver Day Pass.

Normally SBB will propose you the cheapest available ticket, as well as more expensive tickets that are flexible.

Anyway you should not worry to much about disruptions. Any ticket from Zermatt to Lyon will be valid on any replacement services if there is a disruption. Remember: You are not buying a ticket for a train. You are buying a ticket for transportation along a route. If for some reason the schedule changes, or you are transported in a replacement bus, or you miss a connection due to a delay that is inconvenient, but not your problem. It is the railways duty to convey you to your destination.

Regarding the price differences: Some tickets are refundable, others not, some are flexible, others not. Look at the conditions.
