Train Tickets Logistics from Chamonix to Murren

Hi, I'm trying to figure the logistics of train tickets' purchase from Chamonix to Murren. I plan to buy the half fare and BO pass.

Chamonix-->Vallorcine-->Martigny-->Visp
Visp-->Spiez-->Interlaken OST-->Lauterburnnen-->Stechelberg-->Gimmelwald-->Murren

My assumption is I just buy tickets in person at Chamonix for Chamonix-->Vallorcine-->Martigny-->Visp since half fare and BO won't be applied here.

I don't have to pay for rides starting from Visp since it's covered by BO pass, is this correct?

And if you are still thinking of visiting Oeschinensee on a daytrip from Mürren, this would be an alternative way to see the lake. Get off the train in Kandersteg, stow your luggage in the lockers at the station, and walk through town to the gondola that takes you up to the lake. It would make for a long day starting from Chamonix, but a pleasant one.

Hi Lola,

You are correct, the BO doesn't start until Brig. You have good memory of me asking about trip to Oeschinensee from Murren. I think going from Chamonix logistically will be easier. I will buy train ticket at Chamonix to Brig, then use BO to take train to Kandersteg. Appreciate your suggestion, thank you.
