Does anyone know if the train is still stopping here? I had heard that it would be ending that route. Thanks!
Don't know why they would. It is an important connector between Spiez and Interlaken Ost. It is still on the schedule.
oops, didn't mean to imply that the route would end; only the stop at leissigen...
"if the train is still stopping here" - there is more than one train in Switzerland! All rail routes have one train per hour in each direction, at least. The trains are still currently stopping (I checked on SBB), which means they will continue at least until the next timetable change in December 2018.
Leissigen is on Thunersee, between Spiez and Interlaken Ost.
I found three news articles from late 2016 / early 2017 about a plan to close the intermediate stops between Spiez and Interlaken and replace them with a bus service:

I have no idea if a final decision can be made. The issues appear to be capacity on the line, as it is only single track (they want to add more long-distance trains to Interlaken); inferior bus service because of delays and maintenance work needed at the station.
I have seen these sort of issues on other lightly-used stations, cost vs local desire to keep services. They tend to rumble on for years.
