Train schedule

Hi-- where can I find the train schedule from Lauderbrunnen to either Geneva or Zurich. Flying from either one depending on fares. It looks like a 2pm flight from either fly into Iceland where I will going. Not sure how early I would need to leave Lauderbrunnen. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Jane, It is Lauterbrunnen! This is important because if you spell it wrong on internet sites you will just get the answer "not found".
For train times, as Edgar says, look on the SBB site: http://www.sbb.ch/en/home.html
There is at least one train per hour from any station in Switzerland to any other station. If you are looking up trains on the SBB website, be sure you specify the airport station, and not the city centre one, that is Genève-Aéroport or Zürich Flughafen.

Next problem, how early you need to get to the airport. That depends on the airline, and where you are flying to. It may say in your booking confirmation, otherwise you need to look on the airline website to determine this.

Actually, the sbb webite has nice prompts. Put in "Geneva" and it will give you as the first 2 choices Geneva or Geneva Airport, then all the other Geneva substations. Lauterbrunnen is pretty much equidistant time and money wise. Pick the airport that has the best flights to your next stop both in departure times and price. Zurich has the most flights to/from North America.

Yes. Use the SBB website. Input:
From Lauterbrunnen
To Zurich Airport
Date Tu, 27.06.17 (use calender function)
Time 11:00 checking the "Arrival" button.

You will get four train itineraries starting with
Depart 6:33/Arrive 9:19 thourgh
Depart 8:03/Arrive 10:42

The last (Depart 8:03/Arrive 10:42) gives you more than 3 hours before flight on a Tuesday (mid-week). Swiss Air (D0n't know about the Icelandic check-in) has a lot of flights departing mid-day but more than 3 hours should be fine.
