Train routes

First trip to Switzerland this June. We will have a BO pass and 1/2 pass with kids free.

Can someone check my routes? Thanks in advance!

1- Geneva airport - Zermatt: airport to Visp, Visp to Zermatt

2-Zermatt to Wengen: Zermatt to Visp, Visp to Spiez, Spiez to Interlaken Ost, IO to Lauterbrunnen, LB to Wengen

3-Murren to Lucern: Murren BLM to Grutschalp, Grutschalp to Lauterbrunnen, LB to Interlaken Ost, IO to Lucern

4- Lucern to ZRH: Lucern to Zurich HB, Zurich HB to Zurich Flughafen

*We need to Zermatt to Brig (discounted) and then Brig via Kanderstag to Wengen for the BO pass to cover. Is the above incorrect b/c of this?

Yes, Brig to Spiez via Kandersteg is covered by the BO pass. It can take a bit longer, not only because of the slower leg, but the connections are not well coordinated. I am actually intending to do this in about 2 1/2 weeks. I'll have a 55 minute wait at Brig, and 20 minutes at Spiez, so it will take 4 1/4 hours to Interlaken Ost vs 2 1/3 hours with fast trains through the Loetschberg Base Tunnel.

Download the SBB app for train info. It will tell you the options for your dates & times. You’ll be using it a ton.
