Train from Wengen to Lucerne

Hello, all
We need to get from Wengen to Lucerne.
I understand part of this route is the Golden Pass.
We have the STP for both of us
Do I need reservations since it is probably a popular route?
Or do we just hop on?
If we do need them, do I just plug in those two locations or is there something special I need to do since it is the Golden Pass?
I hear it is starting to get crowded already.
This will be for early June

The Zentralbahn, which operates the route between Interlaken Ost and Luzern, does not take reservations. The trains go every hour. If you want a good seat (right hand side of the train), get to Interlaken Ost a half hour early so you can be waiting to board as soon as it is ready.

"Golden Pass" is just a marketing promotion by the 3 railroad companies that operate the route from Montreux to Zweisimmen to Interlaken Ost to Luzern, the MOB, the BLS, and the Zentralbahn.

PS. If you take the 8:04 or 9:04 trains, you will be leaving before any of the trains from Montreux will have arrived, thus avoiding any excursionists doing the the full route, or any commuters doing earlier trains.

No need to get to Interlaken half an hour early. If you take the normal scheduled train down to Interlaken from Wengen you will be on the platform for the train to Luzern about 10 minutes before departure, and that is plenty of time to get on and find a seat. This is a normal service train, used by locals to go about their every day business. It is part of the Golden Pass route, but not a special train.

And make sure to get sits on the right hand side! Best views of lake Brienz from that side.

and then swap around in Meiringen as the train changes leading ends, you will now be on the left side all the better to see all wonderful things as you continue to Luzern

To clarify: you do not need to change seats in Meiringen: stay where you are, and the right side will become the left side as you leave Meiringen in reverse.
