Train from Venice to Lauterbrunnen

Hello!

I’m going to be traveling from Venice to Lauterbrunnen with my boyfriend early September. I will be spending a total of six days in Switzerland (Lauterbrunnen-Lucerne-Zurich). I already have my trip/stops booked, now I just need to figure out the travel part. I understand the route I have to take to get from Venice to Lauterbrunnen (Venice-Milan-Spiez-Interlaken-Lauterbrunnen). I’ve been reading a lot about the Swiss travel pass. Is this something I would benefit from?

What do you mean that you have your trips/stops booked? Don't tell me you have already booked mountain excursions in Switzerland? Also in your case I would have gone to Luzern first, as the logistics would have been easier.

Anyway, you can book Venice to anywhere in Switzerland on www.sbb.ch, but september is still very far away, so do not bother about booking train travel yet. The Swiss Travel Pass can be useful, but that depends on what you plan to do. In your case the Half Fare Card (to get a 50% discount on transportation and excursions) is probably a better option.

it's hard to answer a question about train passes without knowing your full plans - how many nights in each place and are you hiking, going to mountain viewpoints, boat rides, museums, etc.?
