Thank you.
Is there a train from Basel to the deGalle airport that we could connect with in Basel? How would I find cost?

There are trains from Basel to Paris Gare de Lyon, with connection by RER trains to CDG (one easy connection with RER on the way to CDG).

You could also look at train from Basel to Strasbourg and connect to a train direct to CDG.

https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/tgv will show trains.

Your suggestion to connect thru Strasbourg is a great idea -might be less crowded?
Is there one rail company (since I would be involving France and Germany) to determine costs?

Rail companies are generally national.
Germany: Deutsche Bahn
Switzerland: SBB
France: SNCF
