Train/Cable car rate discrepencies

So I'm trying to price out ticket prices and figure out what passes might be economical but I'm confused about getting accurate pricing. For example, let's say I want to go from Lauterbrunnen to Schynigge Platte via Wilderswil. According to the Jungfrau pricelist found here (https://cdn.jungfrau.ch/Prospekte_und_Broschueren/Jungfraubahnen_Fahrpreise_Preisliste.pdf), it's 38 CHF one-way.

But according to sbb.ch/en, it's showing as 19 CHF. Can someone help me with this?

If I remember correctly, I think the SBB website defaults to display the price as if you had a 1/2 fare card.

The sbb defaults to show fares at half price since most locals have some kind Half Fare Pass. You can and have to uncheck that default when searching sbb.ch.

At www.sbb.ch/en, proceed to ticket purchase as a guest. You will have to enter your name (can be fake) and your birthdate (can be fake as long as it is over 25), then click "No discount" in the box. Proceed and you will get a price of 38 CHF.

Haha, don’t I feel like an idiot! I did notice the 1:2 ratio with 19 and 38 but was just not getting it. Thanks all!

I am indeed - your guide is very helpful! Can’t wait. As long as my foot holds up, my wife and I are very excited to do that hike, amongst others!
