We will be in Lucerne next week and are undecided what exactly we will do and would want to go to one of these mountains. Is there a particular one you would recommend? Thx

Whichever one has the best weather on top that morning. There are webcams to check. Ask your hotel desk. Dont hesitate as it could cloud over.

Have you considered Mt. Rigi? That is a favorite of mine. And I recently went up to Titlis and loved it, even on a cloudy day. I haven’t done the journey to Pilatus yet, so I have no comment on that one other than I know it’s a favorite of many here. Not sure how much time you have, but I also enjoyed the Stanserhorn.

We have not been to Mt. Pilatus but have been to Mt. Titlis and enjoyed it. It was cloudy when we got to the top but cleared somewhat so we had good views during the hike around the lake at the top. Though there was a short heavy rain where we had to take cover in an unlocked barn. We enjoyed walking around Engelberg, having lunch there, and also toured the Benedictine Monastery.

I have been to both, and enjoyed both. If I had to pick just one it would be Pilatus. However, you will have a good experience with either one. I really enjoyed doing the golden ticket circuit to Pilatus and it was very easy from my hotel. I enjoyed hiking around the lake at the waypoint on Tiflis. Titlis was definitely more crowded.
