tips needed please - 1st trip to Switzerland

Hello, I could use some tips please. Traveling with my husband for his 60th bday and bringing our 20 year old.
July 27-29 - arrive Geneva - head to Bern.
July 29 -Aug 2 - Lauterbrunnen
Aug 2- 4 - Zermatt
Aug 4 - 6 Annecy, France - fly home from Geneva

I'm hoping this isn't too much. But the big question is: should we take trains or rent a car?
Also, what are the must-dos in the Lauterbrunnen area?

Thank you

No, it is not too much, and you have a nice balance of city(Bern, our favorite) and Alps, and an appropriate amount of time in each. Do you have lodging booked?

There is so much to do around Lauterbrunnen,I don’t know where to start. What do you enjoy? Hiking, riding boats on the lakes nearby, adventure activities like zip line (maybe for the 20-year-old), scenic excursions, exploring the mountain villages, and much more. I am sure everyone has their favorite, and will make recommendations. We are hikers so biased in that direction. . .
