My wife and I are flying onto Zurich near the end of March. We are scheduled to arrive at about 11 a.m. How long will it take to get through customs and is the airport train station fairly close?

Zurich Airport is very efficient, it shouldn't take long, perhaps no more than 30 minutes. But a lot depends on how many flights are arriving at the same time. The train station is just across the street from the main terminal, on the lowest floor of the shopping complex.

Yes, in January it only took 10 minutes to clear immigration, then another 15 minutes to collect checked luggage and pass through customs (nothing to declare). I landed at 10:55 am. I left a 3 hour cushion on my out going train from the Hbf, but could travel on the S bahn as far as the Hbf, stored my bags in the locker there and went to the Landesmuseum to kill time before the departing train.
