How long does it usually take to clear immigration and customs upon arrival in ZRH?
We are flying to ZRH from PHL (another couple from EWR) mid August. We already plan on being delayed out of PHL, but want to know if we should leave 2 or 3 hours between our scheduled arrival in ZRH and our train to Visp.

The direct trains from Zurich to Visp (and those with a connection in Bern) do not require reservations, so I would not try to lock it in before you go. You can buy tickets on the spot, or use a Swiss Pass or Swiss Card to cover that trip (also sold at Zurich airport train station).
