If I hike from Schynige Platte to First, can I purchase a one way gondola ticket upon arrival at First to descend to Grindelwald Firstbahn via the SBB app, ticket machine, and/or ticket office if there is an office at First? I was looking at https://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/grindelwaldfirst/, and I could not see an option to purchase from First to Grindelwald Firstbahn. Thank you!

Yes you can.
However you can also buy that ticket together with your ticket to the Schynigge Platte when you set out in your day.
Do basically you just buy Schynigge Platte and First - all together.

I will have the Berner Oberland Pass, and that pass includes the ride to Schynige Platte. That pass does not include the gondola from First to Grindelwald Firstbahn. My experience with gondolas in the US has been during ski season, so I wasn't sure if you could buy a ticket at the top to descend from First to Grindelwald Firstbahn. Purchasing via the SBB app seems the fastest and most convenient option. Thank you!
