I have to spent 3 days in Wengen.
Can someone please recommend things to do.
i suppose we would like to do Jungfrau

Things we want to enjoy cable car rides and good mountain views and waterfalls.

With the travel do we need to get a pass or buy individual tickets everywhere.

That doesn't sound exactly enthusiastically excited or overwhelmingly committed.

Going up with the train to the Jungfraujoch if you really don't care is a lot of money to waste, which could go to many more things, like feeding the kids for a couple of weeks.

I've been up once, in probably 20 visits to the area. Nothing wrong with it, and the (cold) views are nice until the clouds roll in, but if that isn't what floats your boat don't do it.

There is plenty to do in the area with kids your kids' ages. Walk the valley floor and go up to the waterfalls. Ride some cable cars and walk on the ridges. Cross the valley and go up to Allmendhubel and see the flowers and kiddie playground. Minigolf, the pool and sports area in Mürren. Ride a lake boat. Go to the open air museum. I haven't even started.

Have you read the guidebook? Which one? Have you been to the tourist office website?

Again, it doesn't sound like what you want to do. What would make you - not everybody else - you - happy?

Rick Steves’ Switzerland guidebook outlines many things to do in the Berber Oberland. While he focuses on staying in Gimmelwald, the activities are adaptable to Wengen. Seriously worth getting the book and reading that section, at least. Where else are you traveling?

I agree with Nigel. I have been to the area several times with kids, and they LOVED hiking the trails and meeting the cows, goats, sheep, and horses. As adults they still visit the same trails. There are trains and cable cars and luges (at Pfingstegg) to keep kids occupied.

You can't go wrong by taking the cable car up to Mannlichen. There's a playground up there and almost always cows around.
