Those of us coming up, esp. LHR transits

I know there are several of us going to Switzerland within the next 8 weeks with several (like us) doing the LHR transit. The Traveling Nurses gave a good report on their experience and if possible, please post yours. We are 4 weeks out so we will post ours when we get there. With things changing all the time this might be helpful, especially for those following behind on dates. As of now, doesn’t seem to be any change from the Nurses—antigen (lateral flow) or PCR to transit LHR with the locator document, locator document for entry into Switzerland. If something changes and we need to adapt (such as CH requiring a test) be helpful if we can keep each other posted as the departure dates roll through. Thanks.

Great idea.
We are five weeks out and British Airways just canceled our outgoing flights today. Can't get thru to BA yet, and I heard that the site crashed.
But we all will get there, we all will get there, we all will get there.........

My husband just found a site called:
Flight Aware

He discovered that our return flights thru Heathrow haven't flown since March, 2020. Had we only known. You may want to check your own flights.

We are SO getting canceled for our return flights- just waiting.....

British Airways' return to ZRH has been delayed many times, but they are currently planning to resume Aug. 1st, 4x per week (Sun/Wed/Thu/Fri). We shall see on Sunday if this actually happens.

I checked ours on Flight Aware, I don’t see the return to LAX at 11:00 am but I do see a 12:35 so will have to check with BA. The flights over are through AA to LHR and the LHR>GVA flight on BA is fine. But it’s a good idea to keep checking, as you say especially after August 1.

My wife and I have a flight from Geneva on October 1 and transiting through LHR. Do we have to get a COVID test prior to this flight if we are connecting to another international flight out of LHR within a couple of hours?

Thank you.

Obviously if you’re transiting through LHR or not, you have to be tested to come to the US. If you are transiting LHR to another destination you need to check with the UK and with the LHR websites, but I think right now testing may be required for all transits through LHR? We’re transiting from US through LHR to GVA and we are required to get a test just for the transit even though CH does not require one upon landing for vaccinated Americans.
