Thanksgiving in Switzerland?

Looking for advice. Thanksgiving is not our favorite holiday so we’re looking to get away from the US and go to Europe. Thinking about spending a week in Switzerland over the holiday. We are two adults in our late 50s and our 30 year-old daughter. We have all traveled extensively and have been to Switzerland before just not in November. We do not ski. Wondering about crowds, things to do, if Christmas markets start in late November, any other advice as we typically go to Europe during the summer or early months of fall like September. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanksgiving, and the day before, are great days to fly internationally, I've found.
Swiss Xmas markets are smaller than the German markets and each city has its own market start dates. Contact the local TI.
The Zurich main train station hosts the largest indoor market in Europe.
Where are you staying? I enjoyed the Bern markets, and right over the border from Basel, the French markets at Colmar and Strasbourg are magical.
Have a great trip!

November is the worst month to visit Switzerland. It is out of season for the mountains, with cable cars and mountain railways, as well as hotels and restaurants closed. It is maintenance season.
The weather is often drab, with fog in the plateau.

This is a time of year you go to Greece, or Sicily...
