Thanks to each of the Swiss forum regulars. Your advice was invaluable for our successful trip in early June. One of the best suggestions was to use regular trains rather than the “official” panoramic trains. We had a fantastic trip on the regular train covering the Bernina Exoress route. There were only 2 other couples in our car; I opened several windows and spent the entire trip running from side to side enjoying the fabulous views and enjoying the fresh mountain air. We did have to use the official Glacier Express because of a scheduling situation (it was packed) but on all other special routes we used the regular trains. What a great tip that was.
