A big THANK YOU to all of you who helped us with recommendations on places to stay in Zurich. You are a wonderful travel community! I meant to add this to my earlier post asking for suggestions, but accidentally deleted that!
We have made a decision and I thank all of you for taking the time to provide us with options.

Yes I did and I really appreciated it. We have toured Lucerne before but never seen Zurich. It is a stop on our way home from our Italy tour. We thought we would spend a couple of days visiting there, then resume our trip home. Again, thanks to all of you for your suggestions.

Zurich is a very high class business city and it's not in the Alps. It's a very quiet city.
We'll use the airport, however.
