TGV Lyria trains & Swiss Travel Passes?

We will have 2nd class Swiss Travel Passes when we visit Switzerland in August. I understand that they are only valid in Switzerland, so I have already paid for our reservations on the TGV Lyria train from Vallorbe to Paris Gard de Lyon.

We will be finishing our visit in Switzerland in Montreux and the TGV Lyria train we are taking departs from Lausanne (stopping in Vallorbe). My question is: Can we use our Swiss Travel Passes to take the TGV train from Lausanne to Vallorbe?

We would take a regional train from Montreux to Lausanne, get on the Paris bound TGV Lyria train, show our Swiss Travel Passes, and have our reservation tickets to show when we reach Vallorbe.

Or do we have to take a regional train all the way from Montreux to Vallorbe, and then catch the TGV Lyria train there?

Cindy, Yes, your plan will work.
The Swiss pass is valid on all trains within the area shown on the validity map: https://www.swisspasses.com/railpass/overviewmap_en.pdf
up to the last stop in Switzerland, in this case Vallorbe. When the train is on Swiss rails Swiss rules apply. Normal Swiss tickets and passes are valid and no advance reservations are needed. Once it crosses over onto French tracks French rules apply and you need a ticket with a reservation to get on the train.
For the train from Vallorbe to Paris, I hope you have got a ticket (which automatically includes a reservation), and not "just" a reservation. I am not sure you are saving much by buying the ticket only from Vallorbe instead of Lausanne or Montreux.

P.S. It is Paris Gare de Lyon.

Thanks Chris. It's not a huge savings, but every little bit helps! :)
