I will be in Luzern for 3 nights and will definitely see as much as possible; particularly Mt. Titlis and MT. Pilatus. Is anyone familiar with the Tell Pass and will it be wise to purchase for only two days? I won't have a rail pass and it looks as though the train/boat/gondola rides are pretty expensive.
Also - will the Europe adapters work in Switzerland or shall I get the unique triangle adapter (J)?
Regarding the Plug Adaptor, the standard two-pin Euro Plug Adaptor (type "C"?) should work fine in Switzerland. If you require a grounding type Plug Adaptor, you'll need something like this.....
We are in Switzerland now and find that only one of our two adapters fit the recessed hexagonal openings for plugs. If your adapter is a rectangular shape with squared corners then it won't fit but if the corners are rounded then it probably will. Some of the outlets are not recessed but we have found only a few of those during our travels here. Happy travels.
Our standard European adapter, with rounded sides (the RS version in fact), did not fit sockets in our apt. in Geneva; thank goodness the place we rented already had adapters for US plugs. But next time we go back to Switzerland we'll have an adapter with the angled sides.
Thanks for the quick response; however I seem to have gotten 3 different answers regarding the adapter. I guess I will need to bring one of each to be on the safe side.
