Switzerland Visit in miid-May

Hi all.
My wife and I will be visiting Switzerland mid May for 4 nights. Mid 60s in age.

It looks like many of the higher elevations in the Alps may be closed, or the weather could be cold and/or snowy..

Any suggestions for a home base for those 4 days that might have some scenic hiking, sights to see, restaurants and the ability to ascend into the higher elevations if the weather permits?

As a note, we will be on a transatlantic crusie, 4 days in Rome, 4 days in Tuscany prior to Switzerland
We are trying to be cautious in our packing, so having a lot of cold weather gear will be difficult.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I'd recommend staying somewhere on Lake Luzern like Brunnen. From there you can enjoy beautiful water/mountain views, take a lake cruise and if weather permits, go up into the mountains (Stoos, Rigi, Pilatus, etc.)

Thank you, I will do some research.

Any other ideas?
