Switzerland to Milan

June travel from Wengen to Milan has hit a snag at the Italian border. The Domodossola train to Milan will not be running and the site has substituted a bus EC 051 going via Malpensa Airport. Not ideal but going with the flow, I just can’t find out exactly where I board this bus.
Connection time only 20 minutes
I don’t want to assume that it leaves from the train station where I will arrive from Spiez but I’m thinking that it should
Help me if you can I’m feeling down and I do appreciate you being ‘round won’t you please please help me

I think that it is safe to assume that a train replacement bus identified as EC051, that meets a train identified as EC 51, will pick you up at the station and deliver you to Milano Centrale. You do know that you need a reservation on the train replacement bus, which you will receive when you purchase a ticket, and there is no 1st class on the bus.

Thank you for replying- I will buy the bus ticket in anticipation of it being at the train station
Snafus add dimension to travel stories, but aren’t quite as funny when you are traveling solo…

Don't buy a bus ticket. Or a train ticket. Buy a ticket "Spiez" (or wherever your starting point in Switzerland is) to Milano Centrale. It will come with the bus reservations. But remember, tickets are for routes, not vehicles.

And yes. when railways replace a train with a bus it is usually done in a way that it works, and they try to keep the annoyances to a minimum. So expect there to be staff at the station directing people etc... And the buses (they'd need a fleet) in Domodossola will be in front of the station.
