My husband and I plan on visiting Switzerland and will be coming through Geneva from Paris. We plan on staying there 2 nights before moving on to Interlaken for two nights then Zermatt for a night or two to hike around. We would like to go to munich next or see some of Germany. Any idea on best way to get over there. Is there a night train available or would flying be cheaper. Or it looks like the train ride cuts through Zurich is that city worth staying a night in to break up the trip? Thanks
You can look at the best way by going to www.sbb.ch/en and put in Zermatt to Munich and see your options. Currently, the fastest way from Zurich to Munich is by bus, which will show on the schedule. But you don't have to go to Munich to see Germany. Its 30 minutes north of Zurich. Or Freiburg am Breisgau, just north of Basel.
