Switzerland oct14-22

Hi! My family is going to Switzerland in October for my in laws 50th wedding anniversary. It will be our first time there. We are flying in and out of Zurich and was planning to use Zurich and then Montreux as our base. We are wanting to go to jungfrau and wondering if that’s possible that time of year. I’m planning to get Swiss travel pass so we could do day trips. Any recommendations on must see places that is easy to navigate ? I’m having a hard time seeing schedules on sbb website for dates that far out. We were also wanting to do at least one scenic /panoramic train ride. How early do we need to book tickets for these? I can’t seem to find schedules online.
Thank you in advance!

All the schedules are at www.sbb.ch/en and that includes mid to late October.
I would suggest, if you want to go to the Jungfraujoch, you stay closer to it in Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken. That way, you can be fairly sure of the weather before you go up. Even with the Swiss Travel Pass, you only get a 25% discount of the cost or the round trip above Wengen (the expensive part). If you go by way of Luzern, the section from Luzern to Interlaken is quite scenic. Then going to Montreux, go by way of Zweisimmen for another scenic leg. Reservations for that portion are probably not necessary, but available at https://www.gpx.swiss/en/, if not now, at least beginning 60 days out.
