Switzerland—Obligation for masks on public transit ends April 1

From today’s meeting:

As of Friday, April 1, 2022, the last measures in the Covid-19
Ordinance for Special Situations will be lifted: the obligation to
isolate infected people and the obligation to wear masks in public
transport and in health facilities.

The press release can be found here:

There was no mention of changes to the current entry requirements. You can continue to check those here:

Hmm ... Doesn't read like good news to those of you who need negative tests to go back home. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe the Swiss authorities will just randomly at some point change the entry requirements without it being part of a whole series of domestic changes, like they did with allowing the "recovered" category to travel into Switzerland from high risk areas just recently.

Dropping the mask requirement for public transport seems big for tourism related news, as trains in Switzerland are part of the whole experience, more so than most other European countries.

rob, those recovered have been able to enter without testing since Jan.:

What changed recently was just the validity of Covid certificates for those recovered from 270 to 180 days. I tend to just post about what I consider to be big changes, but the Swiss gov. is very open about any changes and they issue press releases for everything. Those can be found here:
