The RS Swiss Guide book is full of suggestions, routes, activities, and lodging suggestions.
You are a bit late to be booking, so I would recommend securing hotel/apt reservations asap. Safe travels!

Whenever I look at someone's Switzerland itinerary without knowing if they have been before and also what they like to do, the # 1 thing I look for is whether they are only staying 1 or 2 nights at a location. You have at least planned out 3 - 4 or more nights at each stop, and that is excellent IMO. You can even pay for an extra night on one of the towns you mentioned and use that entire day to explore and pack the luggage at 5 pm so a day is not wasted with luggage and waiting to check into the new place.

Another consideration is my assumption you are flying out of Geneva that last morning and that train from Montreaux can be 1:20 to 1:40 hrs, so you need to review the plane time out and the hotel location and train time that matches your plane ticket. Most people going back to North America who want to get back the same early evening need to be on a 9 am to 12 pm plane out of Europe to get the plane schedule they want.

@jazz+travels
We are planning to fly in July 1st (2pm land) and fly out on July 15th - 3 pm (flights to confirm yet).

Does this look good? I had to adjust days a bit.

Land on Zurich - 2nd
Luzern - 3-5
Wengen - 5-9
Zermatt - 9-11
Montreux - 11-14
Geneva - 14
Fly out Geneva on 15th

When you don’t say what you like to do, it’s a bit hard to recommend. Hiking? Museums? Cities? Restaurants & Shopping? Lake activities? Mountain viewpoints? Historical sites? These preferences make a difference.

In general, I’d do 4 bases for 14 nights…
Zurich airport > Luzern 4 nights > Wengen 5 Nights > Zermatt 2 Nights > Montreux 3 Nights > train to the Geneva airport from Montreux

In Luzern you can do a mix of exploring historic Luzern, boat ride to Vitznau + Mt Rigi & options for potential day trips to Lugano (to experience Italian Switzerland), Bern, Zurich, Stoos and/or Pilatus, etc. depending on your interests

In Wengen there is a lot of options for hiking, mountain viewpoints, car free mountain villages, lake days & historic towns & castles like Thun

In Zermatt you can explore the village and go up the Gornergrat to enjoy the Matterhorn and Riffelsee.

In Montreux you have options to see the castle (Chateau de Chillon), explore the Lavaux vineyards, take a day trip into France via boat (Nyon to Yvoire) and if you want to see Geneva, head there early morning of your departure day, store your luggage to walk around until lunch and then head to the airport, no need to stay there overnight.
