Flying in and out of Milan in November and, along with experiencing northern Italy, the plan is to include 4-5 nights in Switzerland traveling by train. Looking for suggestions on where to stay/what to see. Would prefer to make day trips from one place (maybe two) and get overview of cities, towns and nature knowing that we made need to be flexible because of weather. Thanks for input!

I can say that I would probably stick to Italy at that time of year with limited time, but others with more experience may urge otherwise so stay tuned!
