Switzerland in July—will it be very hot?

We are planning a trip for 19 days next late July and early August. Our apartments and hotels will sometimes have only fans, no air conditioning. We are wondering if we will be too hot and uncomfortable. Part of the stay is a week in Wengen where we thought we would be cooler, but wonder what the experience of others has been.
Thanks!

It was quite hot there this August per friends of mine who were hiking there...

It can be warm during the day, but not humid and it always cools off in the evening. Places up in the alps are designed to have the windows open in the evening. I tend to get warm easily and always bring a small portable fan with me to Europe for my bedside and have used it sometimes in summers past. We spend our summers living in Murren (across the way from Wengen) and even during the warmest part of the summer this year I never ended up using it, as it always cooled off enough in the evening to provide comfortable sleeping temps. However, if you go to lower elevations like Montreux, etc. I definitely would have used it, so I'd recommend bringing one, as AC is not common in Switzerland.

It does not seem hot up in Wengen in July but everyone has their own barometer or tolerance.
For example, I have traveled with small group of family or friends and someone may feel hot or cold and another not.
It can feel hot in Lauterbrunnen Valley and felt hot when I was there in the first week of May.

The Swiss cities do get hot, those not located in the mountains. The windows do not have screens, so if there's no AC, you may have noise or bugs, depending on location. Have a great trip!
