Will many sites be closed if I travel to Switzerland in August their month off?

I haven't noticed anything closed in August. Some Swiss businesses take a break between summer and ski season, and between ski season and summer, however.

Thanks so much. Just booked my tickets. I want go be sure to see the cows in the mountains and they leave before September which was my second choice.

August is not a month off in Switzerland. That is more of a thing in big Italian and French cities. August is actually high season and will be busy. Expect it to be hot in low elevations.
