My wife and I are taking our 4 kids to Switzerland for Spring Break to visit friends outside of Geneva. We plan to fly into Geneva on March 29th and return from Zurich on April 6th. I'm looking for recommendations for a good itinerary keeping in mind the spotty weather in the Alps.

Visiting Friends over Easter March 29 - April 1.
There are lots of things to do in Lucerne and Zurich if the weather is spotty (as it was when we were there for Spring Break a few years ago) AND if the weather is good the two lakes offer great places to go by boat or train on day trips.
April 1 train to Lucerne, stay Lucerne nights of April 1, 2 and 3
Pilatus, steamer to the south end of the lake, etc.
