Switzerland family trip

My wife & I will be traveling to the Berner Oberland region July 2020. We will be traveling with our 2 children 18 & 22 years old.
We plan on flying in to Zurich & taking the train to Interlaken Ost. We are planning on spending 8 days in this region. We enjoy action & adventure sports so we will be doing many activites in this region including white water rafting, parasailing, canyoning, etc. We will also be ascending Schilthorn & the Jungfrau mountains.
We will be purchasing the Swiss Travel pass.
We are not sure where to locate for the 8 days or should we stay in a couple of different places during the 8 days there?
Any thoughts from more experienced travelers would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

After a half-dozen trips to the areas, four of which have been a week or longer, we have settled on Lauterbrunnen for our base. It is central for accessing both sides of the valley (Mürren and Wengen), easier to get to Interlaken and Grindelwald, and very walkable. We rent an apartment 1 km from the train station and the Post Bus runs right by it, so easy to walk or jump on the twice-hourly bus. Lauterbrunnen has a grocery store that has most of what one could need or want and a couple of decent restaurants.

There are others on this forum that are much more informed about the different swiss travel passes than I am. Perhaps one of them will be able to add to the discussion. I know that I have read on some other threads that unless you are traveling large distances across Switzerland over multiple days, that a regional pass might be a better bargain for the Berner Oberland area and the high mountain lifts.

I have only ever stayed in Murren which I loved. I honestly don't think you can go wrong here. This is such a beautiful area ! I do like the idea of an apartment or flat for your family to allow you to be a bit more flexible on food prep and costs. They even charge for tap water in restaurants in Switzerland.....

I also recommend Mount Rigi.
For your Lucerne Rigi trip you could consider to stay 2-3 nights at Mount Rigi and explore lake, Lucerne and Rigi from there. Lucerne is eg from Vitznau a 1h boat trip. In case you prefer to stay outside the city and with a great view.
Easy to reach by public transport with a view is Mittlerschwanden and Kaltbad at Rigi. Directly at Rigi Bahn. Mittlerschwanden is approx 5 minutes from Vitznau station, where you also can take a bus or boat to Lucerne. It is about 2h from ZRH airport by train and boat (with an hourly connection direct to Lucerne, so you have not to change until you get to the boat). All covered by Swiss Travel Pass. There are several houses to rent.
