Switzerland: do I purchase the 15 days in one month or 15 days consecutive rail pass?

We will be in Switzerland for 15 days traveling to 6 locations in different parts of the country with most stays for 3 nights except in Gimmelwald we are staying 5 nights. We plan to use the lifts in each location as available as well as visit museums and travel on boats. Some of the trips will be in the same day. Do either of these passes restrict use to 1 per day. Rail is our only travel option so want to be sure I have rail usage until we arrive at the airport to depart for home.

The passes let you ride as much as you like while they are in effect. Basically, you get the run of the place. My guess is that you will be using a train, city tram, bus, cable car, boat, or museum every day. It looks like the consecutive day pass is a little cheaper than the select days pass.

I don't understand. If you will be in Switzerland for 15 days, then the 15 day continuous pass is what you want, as it is 44 CHF less expensive than the 15 days in one month. Now if you will actually be there 16 days, and if the cost of travel on either the first day or the last day is less than 44 CHF, then get the continuous pass and pay for the cheap day out of pocket, otherwise get the 15 day out of one month.

There is no restriction on the number of trips or amount of use on a covered day. Just remember some mountain lifts are discounted but not completely covered, so you still have to buy a ticket.
