Hi we are a couple traveling from Los Angeles - trying to find a good 10 day itinerary for June. We want to cover lake como, Lucerne, interlaken, Luxembourg or Strasbourg if possible.
Basel for sure for a conference.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Covering your whole list in 10 days is too ambitious. Narrow down to 2-3 spots for 10 days, especially if part of it is taken up by a conference.
That’s too much for 10 days, especially if those days include flight days and a conference. Here’s an alternative:
Fly into Milan. Train to Varenna on Lake Como for 2 nights.
Instead of Interlaken, stay in Wengen for 3-4 nights. Interlaken is disappointing in comparison.
Train to Basel. 2 nights (no idea how long your conference is).
Train to Strasbourg for 2 nights. Fly out of Frankfurt and take the Lufthansa bus from Strasbourg to FRA in 3 hours. Probably want to sleep in Frankfurt the night before your flight.
