Hello. I will be completing a hut-to-hut hike in Lenk. I would like to spend another day in Switzerland before heading to the Zurich airport. Interlaken looks lovely, but I was hoping for a recommendation for a stop off that isn't quite as busy or expensive. Any suggestions?

Since you will have been in the mountains, it might be nice to stay on the lake. Thun is a beautiful city, easy to get to from Lenk. You could also look at smaller locations along the lake, such as Hilterfingen. There is a really nice walk along the lake and river from here to Thun. You would have lake and mountain views and it is far more residential - rather than a tourist hot spot. Other smaller towns along the lake will be similar. You can check SBB for bus schedules to see how easy each location is to get to from Thun (only bus on that side of the lake, no train).
I have had some success finding B&B rooms on this site, but you can look at all of the usual ones as well.
I don’t know what your price range is, but if you are comfortable with just a room to yourself and a shared bathroom with other guests you might find something for as low as CHF 50.00/night, for sure under 100.00 - sometimes even with a private bath.
