We actually flew into Paris 4 days,then took train to Geneva 2 days,then train to zermatt 2 days,including gornergrat summit,from there latterbrunen 2 days including murren and trummelbach falls,grindelwald 2 days,lucern 2 days,then zurich and flew out there.some of the trains were 1st class which we liked so still had place for our luggage away from hordes of people alot less stress for a little more.i picked hotels closest to the train stations.the only one we used a cab was geneva , as there were alot of hills .2 week trip 14k total.we just used the credit card for everything and split the bill when we got back .the food and souvenirs are very expensive there compared to usa just be ready for it.howevervthey do not expect big tips there,but you certainly may if you wish.traditional swiss food should not be missed eat it everyvchance you get!
