SwissPass - do we need Oberland too?

We're traveling to Switzerland later this month for 2 weeks. We're planning to purchase the 15D Swiss Pass.

We're flying into Geneva exploring Geneva & Annecy before heading to Lauterbrunnen Valley for 6 nights. Our base in the LV will be Mürren. We'll go to Zermatt , if weather is good for the Matterhorn, and then head to Luzern, Lausanne and Montreux before heading back to Geneva for our return home.

Do we need anything else for trains, bus, etc along the way? Should we purchase the 1/2 Price Card and the Oberland Pass too? It's probably overkill, but we can't really tell from what we are reading on the SBB app.

Thanks for any help/advice.

Yes, that would be overkill. You are getting a Swiss Travel Pass, and that is sufficient.

The Swiss Travel Pass functions as a 1/2 card on those cable cars and mountain railways that are not covered by it, so there is no point in getting the 1/2 price card.

Generallly speaking the options are always either:
- Swiss Travel Pass
or
- Half Fare Card, with or without a regional pass tacked on to it.
