My husband and I are tossing around trip ideas for the end of April and into the first few weeks of May. If we pick Switzerland, we want to spend lots of time outdoors and away from the cities. We enjoy walking/hiking and being in nature. What is the weather like that time of year? We read that it can be rainy. Thanks!

Many trails at higher elevation don’t open until mid-June. Expect cold, windy, rainy, and sunny weather. We experienced all of this in late June. Along with temps in the 80’s. All on the same day. It’s the alps, always carry a rain jacket. And in April, also expect snow.
