Swiss Trip 5 days

Hi,

We are planning Switzerland trip in April last week for 5 days. We are reaching to Basel on 19th Evening. From there we are planning to reach to Luzerne and stay for 2 nights. From Luzerne we are planning one day trip to Mt. Titlis and one day trip to Rhine Falls.
Then we are planning to stay 3 nights in Zermatt. One day for matternhorn. Not sure for other two days.

1.Is this planning Ok or I am flexible to change for any better option.
2.Also would like to know which scenic train journey should we take?
3. We are three people (2 adults and one kid -13yrs old). Could you pls suggest economical way to complete train journey.

Some of your timings confuse me.

How are you getting to Basel?

Nevertheless, are you saying that the same evening you arrive in Basel - a lovely and beautiful city with lots to see and do - you are just keeping going and taking the train to Luzern?

Then you say 2 nights in Luzern. OK, night number 1 is the night that you arrive from Basel? Between night 1 and night 2 in Luzern you only have one day, and then you are leaving on day 2 to Zermatt.

So you one day to accomplish seeing what there is in Luzern - a lot - and maybe some boating to villages on the incredibly beautiful Lake Lucerne, and a day trip to Titlis, and yet another day trip to Rhine Falls - - all in one day?!?!

How do you plan to do that?

That would take me around 4 days or so.
