Swiss Travel Passes in the Lauterbrunnen Valley

We will be on a Rick Steves My Way Alpine trip including 2 full days in the Lauterbrunnen Valley in the beginning of June. Has anyone used any Swiss Travel card in this region? If so, which one did you use and was it provide discounts on most local gondolas and trains? I am looking at the half-fare card for us; we will be taking some trains on our own after this tour. Thanks!

I will be on this tour in Sept.

Will you be spending any time in Switzerland after the tour?

What are your plans for the 2 full days? The half-fare card will only be worth it if you have more than CHF 300 for transportation.

I’m considering the 3-day Berner Oberland Pass. CHF 240.

I figure we’ll arrive to the area in the afternoon and so will have part of the first day in addition to the 2 full days. The 4th day, I think we’ll leave soon after breakfast.

You might find the info here helpful on the passes:

Typically the tours get in shortly before dinner, so I doubt you'll have much time to do anything that arrival day other than check in, walk around a bit and eat dinner. With 2 days a pass being worthwhile really depends on your plans. You'd have to jam pack those 2 days to make your money back on a regional pass. To really answer your question, what do you plan to do on those 2 days and how long and where will you be in Switzerland after the tour?
