Thanks to everyone providing such great advice on this forum. It's been a huge help as I plan my family's July trip to Switzerland.
I've been doing all of the calculations to try to figure out the best and most economical way to use the trains. We will be landing in Zurich and taking the train to Gruyeres, then using trains to make our way to the Berner Oberland region and then eventually back to Zurich to fly home. I figured that we'd be spending about $800 per person, so it obviously makes sense to get the Swiss Travel Pass.
But I saw that someone posted a link to the GA Travelcard (link) and am wondering if that confers any additional benefits. It costs just a little bit more than the Travel Pass, but if there were other advantages it might be worthwhile?
If it's basically the same as the pass I won't bother, but I figured I'd ask here for the straight dope on it.
Thanks again to everyone posting!
