Swiss Travel Pass or Half Price Pass

Hi, I am having trouble deciding whether to get the Half Price Rail Pass or the Swiss Travel Pass.
We will be in Switzerland for 5 nights and below is our itinerary.

Fly into Zurich and travel by train to Luzern
2 days in Luzern
- Travel to Mount Pilatus (Golden Circle route)
Train from Lucerne to Murren/Wengen for 3 nights
- Travel to Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn
Leave from Wengen to Milan

I would get a four day pass leaving off the first and last day. I would appreciate any advice.

The only way to get a precise answer is to look up the prices and balance against the cost of each pass. ‘This is a bit of work and you should do this yourself.

The short answer is that if your are certain you will go up the Jungfraujoch, the Half Fare Card will pretty much pay for itself on that jounney. It would also reduce the fare on days 1 and 6, which you cannot cover on a 4-day Swiss Pass.

You can buy the segment from Spiez to Milan now with a nonrefundable train specific "Mini" fare of 58 EUR for 2 from Trenitalia. That is 3 months out on a random date.

The Schilthornbahn is now included in the Swiss Travel Pass.
