Swiss Travel Pass or Half Fare for 8 day Family Trip?

Hello -

I am reading all I can but am having trouble sorting out which option might be better for us. Family of 4 (kids 13 & 15) and we will have the Family Card. 8 day trip flying into Zurich and heading to Lauterbrunnen for 4 nights, then Lucerne for 3 and back home from Zurich. Has anyone had any experience after taking excursions as to which one is most economical please? Thank you SO much for any advice on this!

You only have 152 CHF of basic transport from Zurich airport>Lauterbrunnen>Luzern>Zurich airport per person. You do need to buy at least one Swiss Travel product to get the free Family Card. Add in one round trip to the top of the Schilthorn and you have enough to justify Half Fare Cards for the adults, so that is the way to go. Swiss Travel Pass would be a waste of money.
