Swiss travel pass options

Hello, We are going to be in Interlaken in August. We are interested in going to the Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn but it is crazy expensive.

It looks like there are a few options, Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss 1/2 Fare Card, Jungfrau pass, etc. Does anyone have any experience?

We are traveling with 2 adults and 2 children (14yr and 9yr) and it looks like with the Swiss travel pass and the Swiss 1/2 Fare card that children will be either free or $20.

Would love guidance!

If you have more than 240 CHF of full fare tickets per person, the 1-month Half Fare Card will save you money. Since the 1-way ticket from Interlaken Ost to the Jungfraujoch is 117.60 CHF, you've just about cracked that nut with one round trip.

95% of the time, the Half Fare Card saves you the most money, more than any kind of pass. Throw in the free Family Card for the kids, and you have it.

Why? Where are you going to park that rolling boat anchor? There is a nice parking garage at Lauterbrunnen station. 17 CHF/day

Sam…Good question!
We are driving from the Netherlands, through Germany, Switzerland and France with friends who will be towing their camper (they live in NL) and we will be camping along the way! This, the car rental.

Your rental vehicle? Be sure to buy and attach a Swiss vignette for it when you cross into Switzerland. 40 CHF if I remember right.
