Swiss Travel Pass discount while booking for Glacier express and Jungfraujoch

Hello, I need some help in figure out how and when to book (1) Glacier express and (2) Jungfraujoch while using Swiss Travel Pass (STP). Can someone guide as i am getting no clear answers? We in a group of 9 travelling end-July 2025 (kids, adults and seniors).

  • when should i buy Swiss Travel Pass (8-days)? Is early July okay?
  • I understand some discounts exist using STP for (1) Glacier express and (2) Jungfraujoch. When do i book these in advance while my STP is not issued yet?
  • How do i book the discount; Is there a code from STP or do i need to book via some site?

There's no advantage to buying the STP now. And maybe, there could be a sale, altho there wasn't this year, as there had been in previous years.
For the Jungfraujoch, you need to check the weather first, so wait.

You need the STP the moment you step on your first train. So I guess the last moment would be when you lend.
When booking the Glacier Express just select "reservation only", which you can do further down in the booking process.
You will not be asked for a proof that you have a ticket or a pass during the booking. This is checked on the train itself.

For the reduction on the Jungfraujoch you will need to go to the station. It is anyway not a good idea to book that in advance. You want to know the weather first.
