Can you buy a 15 day Swiss Travel Pass tickets at the Airport in Zurich? We will be arriving around 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning in July. Or would it be better to purchase the Swiss pass on-line before we leave the US? Also I have family members from the UK who will also need to purchase a Swiss Travel Pass. They are flying into Basel (using Ryanair). We will all meet up in Lucerne sometime that evening. We are not on any tight schedule our first day. What are the advantage/disadvantage of getting the pass at the airport?

There's no disadvantage at all to buying at the airport. I would recommend it.

In Basel airport there is an SBB desk in arrivals. You can buy tickets and passes there.
The pass will be valid on the bus to Basel station. Leaves from right outside arrivals, every 7½ minutes.
Standard warning for newbies in Basel airport: After picking up your luggage. make sure you exit via the door on the right labelled Switzerland, not the door on the left labelled France, or you will be in the wrong country!

Thank you - I will definitely let my family members know to exit to Switzerland in Basel. Its not an airport they have used before. And I am thinking we are just going to get passes at the airport.
