Swiss Travel Pass and Saver Day Pass

Hello,

Need help with deciding between STP and Saver Day Pass.
I am able to get Saver Day Passes for three days for much less price than the Swiss travel Pass would cost for 3 days. But I am trying to understand will the Saver Day Pass give the same amount of discounts on the excursions as STP does? Like Mt. Rigi is fully covered by STP but is it covered by Saver Day Pass as well?

Thanks!

Rigi is part of the GA area, so yes, it is covered by the Saver Day Pass. What the Saver Day Pass may not cover is discounts you get from the STP, like for Pilatus. I am not sure about that case.

But from your other post, looks like you will be traveling with children under 16 and also getting Half Fare Cards and Family Card. In that case, the HFC will cover those discounts.

Getting the HFC (with the Famliy CarD) and getting Saver Day Passes for your heavy travel days can indeed be a better option than getting the Swiss Travel Pass. It is definitely better than gettin a flex pass.

For major attractions like: Jungfraujoch, grindelwald First and surrounding areas I will be purchasing Berner Oberland Pass or Jungfrau Pass (Still deciding).
STP for:
- Visiting Mt. Rigi
Travel to Montreux from Interlaken - Golden Pass Express and Explore Montreux
- To Zermatt
- Lake Oeschinensee
- Lauterbrunnen
- Bernina Express

Is it really worth it to buy STP for these days or will saver day pass be good enough.

Thank you!
